Students will read six contemporary novels in order to increase their reading comprehension and fluency, expand vocabulary knowledge, and practice critical thinking skills. Students will have the opportunity to respond to the various assigned readings through traditional and non-traditional assessments.

Assignment: After Thanksgiving break, we will begin our final novel, The Giver by Lois Lowry.  Our final exam will be over this novel.
